انتقال اختصاص العلامات التجارية للملكية الفكرية وبدء استقبال الطلبات
استناداً لقرار مجلس الوزراء رقم (496) للعام 14/9/ 1439هـ الموافق 29 / 5/ 2018 م القاضي بالموافقة على تنظيم الهيئة السعودية للملكية الفكرية، لتصبح الجهة المختصة المعنية بمجالات الملكية الفكرية في المملكة وحمايتها ورعايتها والارتقاء بها؛ فقد نُقل نشاط العلامات التجارية من الإدارة المختصة بها في وزارة التجارة والاستثمار إلى الهيئة السعودية للملكية الفكرية، لتباشر أعمال خدمات العلامات التجارية في المملكة وفقاً لنظام (قانون) العلامات التجارية لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية.
هذا وتعمل الهيئة السعودية للملكية الفكرية على استكمال مسيرة العلامات التجارية من حيث ما انتهت عليه وزارة التجارة والاستثمار والارتقاء بها في المملكة بتحسين الأنظمة الحالية والعمل على توقيع الاتفاقيات والمعاهدات الدولية المتعلقة بالعلامات التجارية مثل بروتوكول مدريد، والتي من شأنها تسهيل الإجراءات وتحسينها للمضي قدماً نحو رؤية الهيئة بأن تكون السعودية رائدةً للملكية الفكرية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا.
وبهذا تدعو الهيئة السعودية للملكية الفكرية لكل من يرغب بالاستفادة من الخدمات المتعلقة بالعلامات التجارية التواصل عبر بوابة الهيئة www.saip.gov.sa، وإكمال البيانات المطلوبة، أو التواصل عبر قنواتها الرسمية، الرقم المباشر (٩٢٠٠٢١٤٢١) أو عبر البريد الإلكتروني للهيئة Saip@Saip.gov.sa وعبر حسابها الموحد في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي @SAIPKSA.
الجدير بالذكر أنه قبل ٨٣ عاماً ومنذ صدور أول نظام للعلامات الفارقة في المملكة عام ١٣٥٨هـ، حظيت “العلامات التجارية” بأهمية بالغة لدى الدولة، وعناية خاصة عبر تطوير أنظمتها وتحسين لوائحها، وصولاً إلى نظام العلامات الخليجي في العام ١٤٣٥هـ؛ باعتبارها من العوامل الأهم التي تؤثر في نشاط السوق عبر تحفيز الابتكار وريادة الأعمال

SAIP starts to Receive Trademark Applications
Based on the Council of Ministers Resolution NO. 496, 14/9/1439 AH, Corresponding to 29/5/2018 AD, which approved the establishment of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) to become the sole authority responsible for the intellectual property fields in the Kingdom, and its protection, sponsor and promotion, the trademark activity has been transferred from its competent department in the Ministry of Trade and Investment to the functions of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP), to undertake the registration of trademarks in the Kingdom in accordance with The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) trademark Law (System)
The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property is completing the work that has been done by the Ministry of Trade and Investment in the field of trademarks in the Kingdom by improving the existing Laws and Joining the international agreements in this regard, such as the Madrid Protocol (The International Trademark System), the Nice Agreement (Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks ) and the Vienna Agreement (Establishing an International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks), which would facilitate the procedures, to move towards the vision of SAIP to be a pioneer of intellectual property in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) invetes the public who wish to use the services related to trademarks to communicate through the portal launched by the authority www.saip.gov.sa/Sample, and complete the required data or through its official channels, direct number (920021421) or via the email to the authority Saip@Saip.gov.sa or through social media @SAIPKSA.
It should be noted that trademarks gained a great importance in KSA since the establishment of the first Law of distinguish marks in the Kingdom in 1358 AH 83 years ago”, and through developing their Laws and improving their Regulations, up to the Gulf marks Law in the year 1435 AH, as it is one of the most important factors that influenc the market activity by stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship.
