المدير العام لهيئة الصحة بدبي يفتتح الدورة الثامنة عشرة من معرض ومؤتمر “ميدلاب” في دبي
افتتح معالي حميد محمد القطامي، المدير العام لهيئة الصحة بدبي، رسمياً اليوم الدورة الثامنة عشرة من معرض ومؤتمر ميدلاب. حيث ستتواصل فعاليات أضخم معرض ومؤتمر للمختبرات الطبية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا، الذي تنظّمه إنفورما إكزيبيشنز – هيلث كير، على مدار الأيام الثلاثة المقبلة 5 و6 و7 فبراير، من الساعة 9:30 صباحًا وحتى الساعة 6:00 مساءً.
ومن المتوقع أن يشارك في هذا الحدث الذي يستمر أربعة أيام أكثر من 19,610 زوّار من المتخصّصين والمهنيين العاملين في مجال المختبرات الطبية و678 شركة عارضة من 51 دولة، ما سيقدّم منصة مهمة لأوساط المختبرات الطبية في الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا لتوطيد العلاقات مع المعنيين بالمجال على الصعيد الدولي. ويسهِّل المعرض إمكانية استكشاف فرص الأعمال التجارية الجديدة على صعيد المختبرات الطبية عالميًا، كما يسمح للشركات باستعراض مدى التقدم والإنجازات المحققة في هذا المجال.
وفي تصريح له عن بدء هذا الحدث، قال توم كولمان، مدير معارض المجموعة لسلسلة ميدلاب: “ستشهد دورة 2019 من ميدلاب زيادة التركيز على الخطط الإستراتيجية للمختبرات الطبية في عام 2020 وأبعد من ذلك من خلال التطورات العلمية والتقنيات الجديدة والمراجعة المستمرة لمعايير الجودة واللوائح العالمية. ويأتي زوّار المعرض من أكثر من 160 دولة؛ ما يُثبت أن ميدلاب هو بحق حدث دولي للمختبرات الطبية يركّز على دور المختبرات في تشكيل مستقبل الرعاية الصحية”.
وفي ظل تنظيم 11 مؤتمرًا متخصّصًا وحضور 6,700 موفد ومشاركة 120 متحدثًا دوليًا وإقليميًا، يعتبر مؤتمر ميدلاب أضخم مؤتمر مختبرات طبية متعدد المسارات ومعتمد للتعليم الطبي المستمر على مستوى العالم.
وشهد اليوم الأول من مؤتمر ميدلاب انطلاق الدورة الافتتاحية من مؤتمر الذكاء الاصطناعي. وفي إطار جلساته التي تستكشف إمكانات الذكاء الاصطناعي في تحقيق نقلة نوعية في مجال المختبرات الطبية بدولة الإمارات من خلال رفع مستوى الكفاءات، ناقش المؤتمر أيضًا كيفية تحقيق ثورة في التشخيص من خلال تقنيات مستقبلية مثل روبوتات البيانات و”فحوص الدم دون سحب الدم”.
وفي كلمته خلال مؤتمر الذكاء الاصطناعي، قال الدكتور آلان بلوك، مدير الابتكار في معهد ميريو في ليون بفرنسا: “إن علم الأحياء الدقيقة الذي يشمل دراسة الكائنات المجهرية مثل البكتيريا والفيروسات، هو علم معقد ومتقن ويمكن لتكنولوجيا الذكاء الاصطناعي أن تساهم في تطويره، وهي التي تلعب دوراً مهماً في تطور علم الأحياء المجهرية مع وجود بعض التطبيقات التجارية التي تحقق بالفعل فوائد طبية واقتصادية في هذا المجال”.
وجدير بالذكر أن معرض ومؤتمر ميدلاب يحظى بدعم رسمي من وزارة الصحة ووقاية المجتمع في دولة الإمارات، وحكومة دبي، وهيئة الصحة بدبي، وهيئة الصحة بأبوظبي، وسلطة مدينة دبي الطبية.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 4th February 2019: His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority officially inaugurated MEDLAB Exhibition & Congress 2019 today, marking the start of the 18th edition of the show. The MENA region’s largest medical laboratory exhibition and congress, organised by Informa Exhibitions – Healthcare, will continue on the 5th, 6th & 7th February
More than 19,610 medical laboratory industry professionals and 678 exhibiting companies from 51 countries are expected to attend the four-day event providing an important platform for the MENA medical laboratory industry to build relationships with international stakeholders. Enabling companies to showcase progress and achievements in the sector, the show facilitates the exploration of new business opportunities in the global medical laboratory field.
“MEDLAB 2019 features an increased focus on strategic plans for the medical laboratory industry in 2020 and beyond through scientific advancements, new technologies, and continuous review of quality standards and international regulations. Visitors of the show come in from more than 160 countries proving that MEDLAB is a truly international medical laboratory event focusing on the role laboratories have in shaping the future of healthcare,” said Tom Coleman, Group Exhibition Director, MEDLAB Series.
With 11 conferences and more than 6,700 delegates and 120 international and regional speakers, MEDLAB Congress is the only multi-disciplinary CME accredited medical laboratory congress in the region.
Day one of the MEDLAB Congress saw the launch of its inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) Conference. Exploring the potential for AI to transform the medical laboratory industry in the UAE through improved efficiencies, the conference also assessed how diagnosis can be revolutionised through futuristic technologies such as data robots and “bloodless blood tests”.
Speaking during the Artifcial Intelligence Conference, Dr Alain Pluquet, Director of Innovation, Institut Merieux, Lyon, France, said: “Microbiology, which involves the the study of microscopic organisms, such as bacteria and viruses, is a complex science and metier – a perfect context for AI. AI is playing a huge role in microbiology and there are several commercial applications that are already bringing medical and economic benefits to the industry.”
